The Perfect Place

We've found the perfect place for simple summer family fun.  Rainbow Falls in Elk Grove Village has the right amount of fun and excitement for the girls, without being a big undertaking.  All three had a blast and braved water slides we didn't dream they would.   As for the lazy river, it ain't so lazy!  If you are prone to motion "sensitivity", one lap around will do ya!  (I'm such a whimp!!!  lol!)

Oh well.  Everyone still had a fun time - thanks to Daddy saying yes to cotton candy, lemon ice, ice cream and Dibbs!  ugh.

The girls were bursting with excitement all day, waiting for Daddy to come home.  Why?  Because tonight he came home early to take them to the Cubs game!  They love going with him and look forward to gearing up, head to toe.  I've got to admit, I've never seen sport tees and caps look so good.  ;  )

Hoppy 4th of July

Hoppy 4th of July to all!  Hope you all had a great day.  (Thank you Nathan!).  This year we were lucky enough to see fireworks on the 3rd and 4th - one better than the next.  Once the forecast looked promising, we headed to the Eyes To The Skies festival in Lisle with two guests - Auntie Gem and Pierson.   While only two hot air balloons 'attended' the event this year (another sign of our times), it was fun to see.  And who can resist the Energizer Bunny?  Still, I think the four bunnies in front are much cuter.  ; - )

Better Than Facebook!

Hello, All!

Inspired by Robbin wondering if I posted photos to a website for easier viewing, Isabelle not being able to open photo attatchments from home, Marla mentioning photos sent by email were too large to view well, Joyce being a great photographer and witty blogger who always inspires me creatively, and Facebook being too public for my taste, (whew) I decided to try a blog. I have no intention to try and be witty or articulate (lol!). I'm simply hoping this blog will serve as a nice place for family and friends to visit when they would like to take a peek into our daily lives (mostly the girls') via photos and comments. I'll update the blog as funny stories or favorite photos come along, so stop by any time!
