the continuation... finally!

Can you believe how grown up these handsome young men are? And sweet? OMG... they are going to make wonderful husbands!!! : )

And speaking of wonderful husbands, check out this catch!

Sunday Morning in Auntie Ock

(This will be a two-part blog, since some of this weekend's photos are on the laptop!)

Our whole gang was invited to stay with our Aunt, Uncle, and cousins - Marla and her family - at their lake house this weekend.  It was a wonderful treat (Thanks again, sister!).  Here is a peek at how much fun was had this morning:

I asked them to pose, and they did!

Told them I thought it would make a cool shot if they all jumped in together.
They agreed!

PUNKS!  Someone forgot to tell Alexa the plan!

ANOTHER great day!

The girls were so darn cute and "pose-y" today, you'll have to forgive my indulgence here!  It was hard to choose from favorite pictures to post!  After piano, we headed to Naperville for the Riverwalk and, thanks to my nieces, Cookie Dough Creations.  (Ever since the Gilbertos raved about C.D.C. on Father's Day, the girls have been begging to go!  If you are considering trying this place of sin, remember there are kid-sizes available.  lol!)  The Riverwalk proved to be more interesting this time than ever before.  Here are some reasons why:

This sweet bird was either very brave or very ill.  Either way, we had to capture this treat!

It must have been our lucky day.  We saw tons of baby ducks.  Cute as can be.  Along our route to discover more of them, we ran into many a web.  Literally.  Yuck...

Now on to the real babes!  Some of these shots were taken at the Arboretum this afternoon, which we visited on the way home from Naperville.  Look at how these little ladies are growing!  It must be the summer air.  :  )   I could eat them up!!!

Here's some tidbits about the shots:  Lilly helped pose the top left, 2nd row center and right, as well as the bottom left.  She's got an amazing eye!  2nd row left:  As the girls were walking ahead of me, Bella casually reached over to Alexa's hand, and there you have it.  A picture-perfect moment that melts my heart!  Finally, as you can clearly see, Miss B was feeling quite ready for the camera today. ;  )

XsOs!

A REALLY NICE DAY

Today was one of those summer days that was... really nice.  Alexa and I got our morning adjustments at our friendly Chiropractor, I read a no-brainer magazine while Alexa had p.t., went home and had lunch, and then spent three wonderful hours with a dear friend and her little ones.  While the girls played with their little friends, I was lucky enough to have almost three hours of undisturbed "girl time".  Lilliana noticed how therapeutic that was for me.  On the way home she made certain to let me know how I seemed more open and happy.  (lol!  Can't fool 'em all!)  We picked up some McD's ice cream cones, made yummy chicken and pesto pasta for dinner, enjoyed homemade bread sent home with us from our playdate, and finished off the night with an hour at the pool.

It was a really nice day.  :  )

Had to throw these in!

Cute train ride around the farm lead to some sneaky tickle time

sigh...

Overexposed, but... fun!

Suddenly she looks like she'll fit right in with TWEENS!

A Farm, A Pool and Three Little Ladies

Discovered Bella during a rare still moment relaxing on this bench watching a water mill.  She looked so precious.  :  )

Later she discovered a very interesting water feature.  Not quite a well, but we made our wishes nonetheless!

I love them!  "YES I DO!"

My 6th grader!  Look how she's grown!

Lilly thought the best way for me to capture her with the many flowers behind was to lie with them.  Little did she know her beauty would distract the eye.  (awww... )  The middle photo was taken during her 5 minute attempt to coax a butterfly to hop on board.  Today was not her lucky day.

THE UNCOOPERATIVE BUTTERFLY:

Blackberry Farm has a wonderful collection of farm equipment and carriages.  So neat!

I could not believe my luck to capture these next three moments at Splash Country.  Check it out!  [No, the girl in the back is not with us. :  )  ]

I labeled this last photo "The Recovery"!
Just look at those faces!  LOL!!!
